Prayer Counseling Ministry

River Valley Church provides a safe and confidential place where you can come to receive healing for your hurts and freedom from the struggles of life.  Our prayer counseling ministry is based on biblical principles, the Holy Spirit’s leading and the power of prayer.  The result is a transformation that is life-changing.  Our prayer ministers, trained through Elijah House, facilitate what the Holy Spirit wants to accomplish in each individual.  

To begin the process of Prayer Ministry :

• Click here to download a Life History Questionnaire.
• Return the completed form to the church office.
• You will receive a phone call to schedule an intake appointment.  Intakes are held once a month.

Elijah House Schools for Prayer Counseling Ministry

River Valley Church offers both Basic I and Basic II Elijah House Schools for Prayer Ministry:

• River Valley Church prayer ministers facilitate schools and lead small groups.
• Classes are recorded lessons taught by Elijah House trained teachers.

Students of the school will:

• Learn Biblical principles of prayer counseling ministry.
• Learn to develop skills in listening to others and to the Holy Spirit.
• Observe ministry to others.
• Practice ministry in small groups.
