The decision to get married is one of the most important and exciting decisions of your life! River Valley Church wants to help you make the most of the engagement period and prepare for a great life together.  The resources River Valley offers include opportunities for personal interaction with a mentor couple as well as larger group sessions.

Resources for Couples:

Phase 1: Love & Respect Conference
This weekend conference features teaching from Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and his wife, Sarah. The conference is available to any married or engaged couple. (Friday, 7:00 – 10:00p.m. & Saturday, 8:30a.m.  - 12:45p.m.)

Phase 2: Look Before You Leap
This 5-week series for engaged couples combines group teaching times and small group discussion with mentoring couples. Look Before You Leap meets on Sundays from 9:30- 10:45a.m., and childcare is available as part of the Go Kids ministry. Mentors are also available to work with couples outside of class.

Topics addressed during the course include:

•    God’s Purpose & Plan for Marriage
•    Finances & Marriage
•    Resolving Conflict
•    Intimacy in Marriage
•    Family & Friends

(Registration fee is $25 per couple. Completion qualifies participants for a discounted marriage license fee in the state of Minnesota.)

Note: If you would like to have your wedding ceremony at a River Valley facility, or have a member of the pastoral team officiate your wedding, both partners must complete the two phases of the pre-marriage program.
